Story: Somewhere in the Swiss countryside, a deserted town is known as a ‘manure tank’. This town was once thriving and a hub of activity where Goethe stayed and Brahms’ string quartets premiered. Now, however, the town is suffering from severe decline. So when an old lady named Claire – who grew up in the town and happens to be the wealthiest woman in the world – pays a visit, the townspeople welcome her with open arms. Desperate for a revival, the townspeople send her former lover, Schill, to get a donation from her. She promises the mayor and the townspeople a considerable donation, but in return, she asks the public for Shill’s death: Someone in the town must kill Shill. Schill betrayed Claire and married another woman fifty years ago, which forced her to leave the town. Both the mayor and the townspeople initially reject Claire’s proposal. But as the people’s hearts in poverty grow swayed, a mad fever begins to propel them.
