2006
- Was founded in January 2006.
- The performances took place for four consecutive months, from September to December, with a different programme for each of the months.
2008
- Became a non-profit organisation in January 2008.
- ‘BIRD’ Theatre Festival TOTTORI was held for the first time (and annually after that).
2010
- NAKASHIMA Makoto received the FY2009 Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology’s Art Encouragement Prize for New Artists.
2011
- Received the Japan Foundation Prize for Global Citizenship.
2016
- Seismic strengthening of the theatre was carried out.
2017
- ‘BIRD’ Theatre Festival TOTTORI celebrated its 10th edition.
2019
- ‘BIRD’ Theatre Festival TOTTORI and BeSeTo Theater Festival were held simultaneously.
2023–2025
- The theatre facilities are being renovated and new ones are under construction.
