A noh play “The Lady Aoi” was written based on “The Tale of Genji”. MISHIMA Yukio sublimated this noh drama into the aesthetic world with the theme of the inner suffering of modern people: “The Lady Aoi” in his Five Modern Noh Plays. With the direction of the artistic director of BIRD Theatre Company NAKASHIMA Makoto, this performance was presented in China and France last year and received a favorable reputation. In the performance this year, SENJU Akira who has been an active composer in different fields such as operas, tv dramas and movies, will compose music, which will add a new colour to the drama world. This performance will be presented at the Ishikawa Ongakudo Music Hall with a live orchestra in October this year.
