Synopsis開く

A raft drifts in the middle of the sea, carrying three castaways. The three, facing starvation as their provisions run out, ultimately agree to resort to cannibalism by selecting one among them to be sacrificed. Despite employing various methods such as drawing lots and voting, the victim cannot be determined. The "Ordinary Person" and the "Common Person" conspire together and decide to consume the weakest of the three, the "Typical Person." Although the "Typical Person" clings to a will to live and resists until the end, he gradually falls into the cunning trap set by the "Ordinary Person" and the "Common Person," coming to accept his sacrifice as inevitable. Eventually, he convinces himself that his decision is a noble and sacred act.
