It’s neither Haiku nor Senryu. It even doesn’t have Kigo : seasonal words either. It is wordplay which allows everyone all together to enjoy. When people make poems, many people feel like they just freeze and can’t set themselves free or it’s not that enjoyable. In this collaboration Haiku, people receive Kami no ku: the first part of a poet, or Shimo no ku: the second part of a poet, connect words and make a new world, so it’s basically like a game. This collaboration style Haiku was invented by a poet, UEDA Kanayo who has been active in Kamagasaki, Osaka. We hope you will have a good time with her. All the poets made through this workshop will be presented at the party on September 17th. Let’s get praise from everyone.
