As part of Queens Theatre's Theatre for All Initiative, a number of short plays were selected through an open call for submissions on the condition that they must have been written by disabled writers and/or featuring characters with disabilities. Five of the plays were picked up for BIRD Theatre Festival: These five plays illustrate the harshness and disparity of the reality in the US and the energy of people with disabilities. Each story has its own powerful uniqueness, and you will enjoy and be amazed by them. The cast includes BIRD Theatre Company’s actors and people from the local community.
