[Theatre]Two-Day Workshop: Writing the Short Play

This programme is conducted in English.

Writing a ten-minute play is a great way to learn the basic techniques of playwriting without the challenges of sustaining plot and character for a full-length play. We will look at ways to open strong, avoid exposition, create characters who want something, putting them in conflict with each other, writing good dialogue and building to a powerful climax.

[Art]Deconstruction of “A I U E O”!

This programme is conducted in English.

This is a workshop designed for the general public by the artist at the forefront of the French contemporary art world. The artist's consistent style is to give a shake to everyday life, which appears solid, by slightly modifying and recombining letters, street signs and other objects with a single clear meaning, and to show new possibilities of perception. In this workshop, you will focus on hiragana and alphabets to explore the possibilities of new and curious letters and communication.

Lecturer:Jean-François Guillon (Artist)
