We might call them otoshiyori or the elderly, but they are full of youthful energy. When you encounter their performance and the way they tell their story, you will not associate them with stereotypical “leisure activities after retirement”. In the course of aging population, sluggish and shrinking economy, changing meaning of well-being, we are put in a crucial phase of reconsidering and reconstructing the way we spend our life. Their stage performance will showcase a lively connection between “living” and “expressing”.

You will meet a lot of active and youthful elderly in Shikano. Among them, eight members of the Dance Club “Rengesou” are particularly vibrant. They usually enjoy dancing to their favorite songs to stay healthy. This time, however, they will put on a show with up-tempo tunes, which they practiced under a professional choreographer. Their performance full of energy will surely overturn the fixed images of “the elderly” or “senior citizen”. Let’s party together!
