Ruth Morris
A multi-instrumentalist based in Scotland. She plays a diverse range of instruments, including the nyckelharpa, fiddle, whistle and piano, and performs widely in groups such as Firelight Trio and The Galloway Agreement. Building on a foundation of traditional Scottish and Irish music, she incorporates musical cultures from central France, Brittany, the Nordic countries and Eastern Europe. She participated as an on-set musician for the HBO drama Outlander and played the nyckelharpa on the soundtrack for the Netflix film Outlaw King. She is also actively involved in community-based musical activities and mentoring the younger generation.
Gavin Marwick
A fiddle player and composer from Edinburgh. He has performed at numerous concerts and festivals across Europe, North America, Asia, Australia and Africa, and has played in a wide range of bands and projects, including Journeyman Project, The Galloway Agreement and Firelight Trio. He has published Horizons, a collection of around 200 of his own compositions, and his works have been recorded and performed by many musicians. He has also composed extensively for television, radio and theatre, creating music for productions by Traverse Theatre and National Theatre of Scotland. In addition to his performing career, he is actively involved in education and outreach.
